Hi everyone,
I've just added a Timeline to my model driven app and enabled Activities including appointment.
By the looks of it you can create a Teams meeting when creating an appointment activity. However, I or other users don't get a meeting invite or get the event added to their Teams/Outlook calendars.
I've been trying to look at my settings as I found this advice: https://community.dynamics.com/365/sales/f/dynamics-365-for-sales-forum/451502/appointments-not-appearing-in-outlook-calendar
But I'm getting errors when trying to look in these settings. I have posted this on D365 forums here for advice: https://community.dynamics.com/365/f/dynamics-365-general-forum/482419/keep-receiving-error-messages-in-advanced-settings
Can anyone help with this please? I assume you're able to make a flow but it looks like it could be very complicated.
I would approach this as a flow, setup a trigger for when a new appointment record is generated, then use flow actions to create a meeting at the needed date. This article outlines how to very clearly
https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/how-to-create-a-teams-invite-using-power-automate/
just change the trigger to what you are saving the appointment records too.
Hey thanks for the message. On step 3 on that link, I'm unable to select Attendee's as an option. This maybe because my Optional and Required Attendee's are PartyList column types (automatically chosen by PowerApps).
Is there a way around this?
unsure on how to address that, Partylist columns are essentially subrecords containing user data no? Perhaps run the partylist record through a for each and create an array of the user data, then insert that array into the Attendees option.
Turns out my mailbox settings weren't correct. I finally got into my settings and was able to change them.
It all works now.
