I was trying to understand if PVA bot has capability to connect to external systems. I see in actions we can call MS Flow or MS framework Bot skill.  But, I have following questions

1) Can I call any REST Api ?

2) Can I query any azure resource. Example azure sql database ?

3) Does it support any connectors like JIRA, Oracle etc

I am trying to understand if its possible to write little bit of code inside PFV bot.  ?

    Hi,

You can do all of these things in PVA by leveraging Power Automate rich functionality and various Connectors and calling MS flows from PVA Dialog.

You PVA license includes entitlements for Power Automate out of the box - you can create  MS flows with Premium Connectors with your PVA bot right away.

    1.  You can call a REST API form a flow and pass back the results to a PVA bot:

    2. You can connect to various DBs in Power Automate using various Premium Connectors

    3. Power Automate supports JIRA, Oracle, etc. connectors

PVA license gives you access to hundreds of useful Premium Connectors in Power Automate. For details on how to use Power Automate flows in your PVA bot, go here:

    Thanks for detailed response @MarKol.
I am aware that in actions we can call Ms Flow but, not Power Automate. But, now Ms Flow is renamed as Power automate. So can we say it all boil down to just one and its Ms flow.

and whatever capabilities MS flow has, PVA bot and leverage those ? I am confused between capabilities of Flow vs Power Automate.

    Hi,

Microsoft Flow app got rebranded as Power Automate recently, but the objects themselves are still called "flows". You can think of it like this: "Power Automate produces flows".

And yes, PVA can leverage all Power Automate (formerly MS flow) capabilities.
