Hi,
I am trying to come up with a governance solution to determine if the SharePoint list has been updated via the App or if someone has amended it directly in the list
Has anyone have/come up with any solutions/possible ways to record how the list was updated please?
Many thanks
hey @nemo1
in my point of view this is not possible. i have never seen anything like this.
the only thing that comes to my mind, is to modify the forms that comes from sharepoint and block the Onsave property of the Sharepointintegration. Others than that i see no solution to this.
Let me know if my answer helped solving your issue. If it did please accept as solution and give it a thumbs up so we can help others in the community.Greetings
The best I can get so far is when patched it also writes to an additional non-descript column in the SharePoint list.
This then triggers the flow to check if that column was updated at the same time as any others, if so all is good. If not it triggers an email and copies the data to another list for investigation. Not the greatest solution, but if you don't know what column triggers the flow then I've got a high percentage chance of capturing if there's an issue.
as far as i understood, you want to know if the item was modified via the app or directly in sharepoint, right? but your explanation above wont tell you where it was changed?!
