Power Apps form does not work for newer choice column

We are using a Power App form to enter new data in our Sharepoint list. It used to work fine, but we are currently facing some problems with our newer choice columns. Even though they have the same correct settings as the older ones and are connected the right way, the dropdown menu in the form only shows the placeholder Item 1 to Item 15. We tried adding new columns and searched for mistakes, but it won't work for any new choice column.

After you added your new choice column/values, did you refresh the SharePoint list through the data panel of the designer?

Thanks for your response timl. Yes I did refresh. Looks like I could avoid the problem by creating new columns as text columns and changing them to choice columns afterwards
