Dataverse Newbie Questions

Just some general questions as I review the option of moving a very large SharePoint list to Dataverse.  Currently, our employees can utilize Power Apps via their iPads to enter records in a SharePoint list.  I, as a General Manager, have access to Power Apps, Dataverse, etc.

1.  If I migrate the data to Dataverse, do all employees also need access to Dataverse or can they continue to enter records in SharePoint and I merely use Dataverse to review and summarize data (again, my issue is that I have exceeded the 2,000 record/delegation Power App limitation)?

2.  Assuming I can utilize a connection between SharePoint and Dataverse, I assume I would need to make update/changes to both SharePoint and Dataverse (in terms of available columns, etc.)?  As an example, I would not be able to add a column to Dataverse that was not currently contained in the SharePoint list.

I have the same question (0)

    1. If you want them to continue working on SharePoint they can do and then your option to view data would be through virtual tables connected to the SharePoint list which still have some limitations but if you decided to move away to Dataverse then the employees should have access to Dataverse and you will need to rebuild your existing power apps to work on dataverse.

    2. your assumption is correct any metadata changes need to be done on both but not if you used virtual tables.

I would suggest for your situation to explore virtual tables option.

@Mira_Ghaly @Thanks for the response.  What are the limitations you suggest.  I do need the ability to review the large dataset (which has been the SharePoint issue).

    Here's a list of limitations:

But in your case there is no concerning specific requirement I can see.
