Can't publish due to Type Error in SharePoint action Connector, but no actual error.

I have an issue which I think is a Microsoft side error. I have a simple topic which gathers some information and enters it into a SharePoint list using the "Create Item" action SharePoint connector. This works as expected, I can test the agent in the editor and the items are being created in the SharePoint list.

The problem is that I cannot publish the agent as there is an error in this topic:

I don't think the "UnresolvedDynamicType" it is expecting is a proper type, it seems like some kind of error and it's preventing me from using the agent. To repeat, the object I am sending of type Record is actually working.

Can anyone confirm if they are seeing the same issue on their end? Is there somewhere I can report this as a bug?

Thank you.

I notice the properties like Title are missing quotes. Have you tried it with quotes, to see if that makes a difference?

    Try the below format
    {"Title": "", "Email": "johndoe@contoso.com"}

I get a different error when I do that, about unexpected characters and so still can't publish.

If I use single quotes then it doesn't give an error in the formula but it still recognises it as a Record type so I still can't publish.

(why is there no reply to a response option?)

    Hi,

Here's the approach I followed to configure the "Create Item" action using the SharePoint connector in a Copilot Studio topic, which worked successfully for me:

    1.  I added the "Create Item" action within the topic and specified the Site Address and List Name using the appropriate connection reference.
    2. Once added, all columns from the selected SharePoint list, such as Title, Email, etc. appeared automatically. I then assigned values to each of the fields accordingly.
    1. After configuring the action, I was able to save and publish the topic without any errors.
    2. Upon running the topic, a new item was successfully created in the SharePoint list.

While I haven't personally encountered the UnresolvedDynamicType error you mentioned, this method worked end-to-end in my case.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

Yeah thanks this is a good work around.

Just need to mention that when you enter the site and list details, you don't get the field advanced parameters until you first set the "Limit Columns by View" option and then the rest appear.

Thank you. Hopefully Microsoft can fix the issue in the regular parameter so it doesn't confuse more people.

Yes, the same here. The fields weren't loaded until I selected the default/allitems view in the Limit Columns by View dropdown. Pretty confusing 😁

Might be useful if Microsoft preselects the default view in this specific Create Item action. I believe in Power Automate cloud flows that does happen.
