Trying to fully remove dependency to the Creator Kit from my solution

Good day,

this topic was already mentioned in Dec. 2022 by @LenC here:

Dependency remains on component no longer used ! - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

and here

How to remove dependency on Creators Kit · microsoft/powercat-creator-kit · Discussion #206 · GitHub

Unfortunatelly no solution to this was ever found it seems.

Anyways, here's what I did so far:

I originally added the Creator Kit to a customers environment in order to use the calender.

Now that modern controls are in preview, I swaped the Creator Kit calendar to the modern control calendar control.

I removed all components of the CK calender from the app, non were listed under components, so nothing to remove from there.

Under the insert tab non of the CK calendar components show up as well.

Nevertheless, after saving and publishing the app, the dependency is still listed to the CK component:

I also checked the solution layers, but there's only one

Now I either find a way to get rid of the dependency, or I must install the Ck also in the prod environment in order to successfully import the managed solution.

If anyone has an idea how to solve this I would be very greatful, thnaks in advance!

For anyone else having this problem someday:

The next day the dependency was gone and I was able to uninstall the Creator Kit / deploy the solution to another environment w/o the need of installing the CK there.

    So patience is key 🙂
