Command Bar launch data-driven URL

Hello All,

I have added a button to my model-driven app that I want to open a URL that is stored in a related table. I am using the Launch function and if I hard-code the URL it works fine. If I use dynamic data it does nothing:

Launch(Self.Selected.Item.'Customer Channel'.'Web URL')

I tried the same approach using Notify and that did not work either. Is dynamic data not supported when editing the Command bar? Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

    @stormin_30 ,

    It should work. Make sure the column is of text data type.

    It it answers your question, kindly give kudo and accept it as solution.

    Thank you for the reply @Prakash4691. The column is indeed Text.

    Can you or others confirm that you are able to use dynamic data in the Command bar actions like Launch. Static data works and I wonder if this is just a current limitation of the Command bar editor experience.

    Thanks again.

    @stormin_30 ,

    Yes, I am able to use dynamic data. I tried in account entity website column/field.

    I believe the issue is related to using data from a related table in the Launch command. Data from the same table works as expected.

    Patience is definitely required when testing command bar customization. Give it 5 minutes between test and refresh your browser to keep your frustration levels at bay.

    Thanks again @Prakash4691 I appreciate the help!
