Help with Connection Issues in Microsoft Copilot Studio "Manage Connections" Section

Hi Power Platform Community,

I’m encountering an issue in Microsoft Copilot Studio when trying to connect services in the "Manage Connections" section under Test your agent. When I click on the three dots (...) and select Manage Connections, it shows options for Dataverse, Microsoft 365 Outlook, and Planner. However, when I click the Connect button to change the status from "Not Connected" to "Connected," nothing happens. The status remains "Not Connected," and I'm unable to establish these connections.

Steps I’ve Tried:

  1. Clearing Cache and Refreshing: I cleared the cache in Chrome and restarted the browser.
  2. Using Different Browsers: I tried both Chrome and Edge, but the issue persists.
  3. Checking Permissions: It seems that My account has appropriate permissions for Dataverse and Microsoft 365 services.
  4. Pop-up Blockers: I confirmed that pop-up blockers are disabled for this site.

Environment:

  • Browser: Chrome (latest version)

Additional Notes:

  • I’m attaching a screenshot of the situation to show what’s happening.

Has anyone encountered this issue before, or does anyone have suggestions for further troubleshooting steps? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

If the Connect button is not responding (or) nothing happens, then it should be browser issue most of the time. Open the Developer Console (F12) in your browser, and navigate to the Console tab and check if you can get the issue..

Else you can raise a ticket with Microsoft Support to check on this.

    Also before that,
If the connections require OAuth authentication, there might be a cached token causing the issue. Try signing out completely from all Microsoft applications, closing the browser, and then signing in again before attempting to connect the services in Copilot Studio. Also check the API permissions to provide Grant admin consent to ensure these permissions are applied across the organization.

    Thanks.

    Hi @Farshad1

I was also facing same issue when I was using SharePoint connection. I opened the flow and click on edit in section "Run only users". After opening it, change the connection and it should work.

@salahsaleh11 - Thank you for posting your solution, Editing the Run Only User and switching to the Service Account resolved the issue for our team.

    Thank you,
