Forms: Expand Related Tab by Default

Hi,

I wanted to see if there was any way to expand a certain related tab by default within a form? I am in Project App and I can see Summary, Tasks and Related. If I click on Related, I can see Issues/Risks among other items. I wanted to see if I could make Issues/Risks tabs to Expand by default?

I know I can customize the form within Project to add a component (1 column tab) and then link the section to Subgrid and rename the tab, however, the view is not the same as I'd navigate to a project and then click Issue.

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @infinite,

Are you using model-driven apps. If so, would it be possible to have a screenshot of your current form to get a better understand what you are trying to achieve? Thanks!

    Hi @EricRegnier ,

Sure, I have attached the screenshot. And thanks for looking into this.

In the Project App, the default Tabs I can see are Summary, Tasks and Related. If I go to Form Editor, i can only see Summary and Tasks and these are set to Expand by Default.

I was able to edit the form to add 1 column Tab, then rename it as Issue and then link the section to Subgrid

Here is the view from the Issue Tab I added

    From Custom Tab.jpg

Here is a view from bringing this tab from Related Items:

Was trying to see if there is a way to just make the one of the items in related tab expand by default vs. the workaround that I am doing.

    Hi @infinite ,

That is the default behavior of the related tabs. If you want to to expand by default, then you need to explicitly add a tab like you have in your example above, then you can use the classic form designer to remove the redundant tab from the related navigation.

    Hi @infinite,

You can't expand an item from the Related tab by default unfortunately. You can hide completely the Related tab and add/remove items from the related tab. You can always create a custom tab with a subgrid to the same entity/table from the related tab.

    Hope this helps!
