Model Driven App Entity Form configure to hide time part of Date Time field

So I am stunned to not have found any info on this --> this could be an indicator that I am trying to do something I should not want to do, but I still wanted to doublecheck here 😁

If a Date Time field is added to a Common Data Service entity and you add it to a Form of the Entity, it shows a nice unified Date + Time combination to the users in Model Driven Apps:

But now, I want to have a Date Time field where users cannot change / do not see the time part of the field...
I do not want to use a Date Only field because in other processes a Time may be used in the same field (or just like many projects, someone suddenly decides that a Time is also needed and then a new field needs to be created because we cannot add Time later to Date Only field right?)

Am I correct that we cannot influcence this in the Forms of Entities so we can personalize the Model Driven App interface?

(sounds like a flaw right? --> should be a setting in the Form of the Entity just like the decimals of a number?)

    Hi @Django ,

Do you want to let the Date Time field just show date in Model-driven apps?

If you do, I’m afraid there is no way to achieve your goal in Power Apps currently.

But as a work around, I think it could be done by javascript. So maybe Dynamics365 forum would be a better direction to find an answer:

I have found some threads for you to reference:

    Hope this helps.
