Dear community,

It seems that to be able to use Pipelines with Power Pages Sites the site needs to be on the enhanced data model, as of right now my site is on Standard.

Checking another MS official site it seems that it is not possible to migrate those websites, yet.

I am a bit confused because it seems that you can migrate using this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-pages/admin/migrate-site-configuration?tabs=sol by downloading and uploading the site in the new environment with the enhanced data model activated but while doing it, it fails, below the error:

Any suggestion, advice and clarification on this matter?

Thank you,

Jose G Diaz

    Hi, I think that link you pointed to talks about migrating portal data in general, but it still refers as you should always keep the same "data model type" between source and target environments.

    If you find something in the page that reads differently please let me know so I can ask Microsoft to update the docs.

    At the moment migrating the Data Model Type is not possible, unfortunately. I know Microsoft is working on a migration tool but I am not aware as to when that would be released.

    If you really need that I would recommend manually re-creating the Portal configuration records. A few things to note:

    • I identified a few bugs on the Enhanced Data Model that should have been fixed as part of version 9.6.x.x but that's not yet available in my region
    • Some Portal Templates (like customer service for example) are not yet supported by the Enhanced Data Model
    • Audit history is not supported on Portal records (afaik - and not sure they'll ever be)

    @josegdiazv

    2 things you have to do.

    1. Turn on the new enhanced data model for new sites

    2. Turn on Early Upgrade setting in admin center

    You can now add your site to a solution 🙂
