Filter function on Edit Forms

Hi,

I am building an app that will serve as a monthly reporting tool. On the home page, staff need to select the country/month/year they are reporting for from dropdown menus. If they enter a country/date where there is already data entered for, I would like the edit forms and the galleries to show this data so staff is able to edit the old data if they need to.

For the gallery I've used the following formula (which works):

Filter(
'Warehouse table',
Country dropdown. Selected. 'Country name' = Country And Month dropdown. Selected. Month = Month And Year dropdown. Selected. Year=Year
)

However, it does not work on edit forms, and I haven't yet figured out any other solution.

Thanks!

Gab

    so the result of the filter is a collection and it can be bound to Gallery or Table, On your edit form for the Item Property you should be using GalleryName.Selected

    @Mira_Ghaly  thank you for your quick reply. i apologize in advance I'm very new to power apps, and I'm not sure I understand your solution... Are you saying I should create a collection with a filter that then would be bound to my edit form?

    The filtered collection should be linked to a Gallery Items Property, Example below:

    Then Edit form on another Screen should look like:

    The output from a filter is always a table even if it consists of a single record. An edit form must have a single record as its item. I prefer Lookup(datasource, ID=Gallery1.Selected.ID).  The datasource must match the one in the form’s datasource property.  This works even if the datasource for the gallery is reshaped or changed to a collection and it defines a single record. The datasource of the form must be the actual connector, not a variable or collection.

    Hi Mira,

    What does this look like if I don't have a Gallery, but only an edit form? I am using the Power Apps visual in Power BI where the filtering is done. So it should directly show the edit form based on the current selection in Power BI.

    I am getting this data from Power BI.
