How to disable the 'New' button in a View in the top section?

Hello everyone,

In a model-driven app, is there a way to disable the 'New' button at the top?

I have two pages on the left, one for table 'SHOP', and one for table 'FRUIT'.

The Form for 'SHOP' includes a beautiful sub-grid for 'FRUIT', where people should add a new one, and it comes pre-filled in with the name of the shop.

I want to disable it in the 'FRUIT' view, so people can't create a new line without going to the 'SHOP' first.

Thank you so much! This would really help user experience.

Best,

Alice

    Hi @AliceW

You must use the WRMToolBox tool and within it the RibbonsWorkbech that allows you to hide the buttons that come by default

You can use the Ribbons Workbench and it is easier if you just hide it without any rules. First you must create a solution where you include only the table that you want to hide the button. Then you go to your Ribbons Workbench tool, open the solution and follow the steps in the image

Then you hit publish and you will have the sub grid button hidden. You should keep in mind that you get three ribbons: Main View, Grid and Form and you should use the one that says Grid

    Hi @AliceW

You don't really need JS, just use the tool and hide the button

I can't download and use custom tools for official data, I'm afraid...
