Hello, I'm running into an issue with a variable that I defined but for some reason doesn't have a value under global variables. here are some screenshots:

A Global Variable needs Set()
Set(pid,Text(psel))

To add to what @WarrenBelz said. Global variables are created using Set. Context variables are created using UpdateContext. Context variables are scoped to a particular screen in a Power App. They also show up in a different place. In this screenshot you can see a section for Global variables and one for Context variables on the Home Screen.
