Image Error

Hi there,

I have encountered multiple times all the images I have uploaded and can be displayed successfully suddenly turn into errors (refer screenshot attached). I have tried to clear the browser cache and refresh the Power Apps page (I am using Chrome btw), but it still not working.

Funny thing is, a couple of days later, all of the images can be displayed out of sudden...

Appreciate for your kind advise and assistance.

    Hi,
    *** ChatGPT generated response ***

It sounds like you’re experiencing an intermittent issue with images not displaying properly in Power Apps, especially after uploading them. Since clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page didn’t resolve the issue, here are some additional steps you can try to diagnose and potentially fix the issue:

    1. Check the Image Source:

    • File Path: Ensure the file paths or URLs for the images are correct. If your images are hosted in a cloud service (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive, or another external service), make sure the URLs are not changing dynamically or experiencing access issues.
    • Access Permissions: Sometimes, access restrictions or permission changes can cause images to not load. Double-check the access permissions of the storage location where the images are hosted.

    2. Review Network Connectivity:

    • Sometimes, network issues can cause images to fail to load or refresh, especially if the images are stored in external cloud storage. Check if there are any intermittent network issues or connectivity problems on your end or on the server where the images are stored.

    3. Try a Different Browser/Incognito Mode:

    • Different Browser: Although you're using Chrome, it might be worth trying a different browser (e.g., Edge, Firefox) to see if the issue persists.
    • Incognito Mode: Try opening Power Apps in an Incognito or Private Browsing window to eliminate any cached data or extensions that might be interfering with the images.

    4. Clear Power Apps Cache:

Sometimes, Power Apps itself stores its own cache, and clearing this cache might help.

    • In Power Apps Studio, click on the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner, then select App settings. In the settings menu, there may be an option to clear the cache.

    5. Check Power Apps Server Status:

    • There might be an issue on the Power Apps server side affecting the display of images. Check the Power Apps Service Health page to see if there are any ongoing outages or issues impacting image rendering or media services.

    6. Inspect the Image Properties in Power Apps:

    • Ensure that the Image control in Power Apps is configured correctly. If you are using dynamic image sources (e.g., URLs from a SharePoint list or database), check the formula that binds the images to ensure there are no issues with the data.
    • You can also add a Label next to the image to display the actual URL or file path, which will help debug whether the path is valid and accessible.

    7. Power Apps Version Issues:

    • Occasionally, the issue may be related to a specific version of Power Apps. If possible, check if the issue is related to the app version or any recent updates. If your app is in development, test the issue in preview mode or published mode to see if the behavior differs.

    8. Test on Another Device:

    • Sometimes, this issue may be specific to your computer or browser configuration. Try accessing the app from another device to see if the issue is device-specific.

    9. Power Apps Community and Support:

    • If the issue persists, consider reaching out to the Power Apps Community Forum for additional support or posting more specific details of your issue. Sometimes, others might have experienced similar issues and can offer solutions.
    • You can also create a support ticket with Microsoft if it seems to be an issue with your Power Apps environment.

I hope these steps help you resolve the issue! Let me know if you need further clarification or assistance.
