Validation not working properly

I am using powerapps validation by setting the datacard required property to true. Once i click on submit button, the validation triggers and if the field is blank, it is highlighted in red color as shown below. This is working as expected.

However there is another field "Are you interested to attend". It is Yes/No column in the datasource, however it is shown as radio button in the UI. Even if i leave it as blank, the field is not highlighted in red color as above and also the validation error doesnt show up. May i know why?

A Yes/No field in SharePoint has a Default value of either Yes or No,
so it does have content, although I am a little intrigued as to why the No value is not showing in your Radio Control and why you have a Delegation warning.
Also if you put on a Label (using your form name)
    YourFormName.Valid
is it true or false with the control in the state you posted ?

    Hi @WarrenBelz,

I have another field which is Person column. In backend the required property is set to false. Only in powerapps UI i have set this to true. Still validation triggers properly here if its empty.

However for the below field, may i know how to ensure the validation is triggered?

I think you have varied the field reference too far for the inbuilt validation to work (you are not simply writing the output of the radio to the field - they are different data types) - you may have to apply some manual code testing
    !IsBlank(Radio1.Selected.Value)
    to validate the requirement.

i dont know if this is a general problem or not

i have an editform and a few datacards set to requiered. when i call the button the onselect has SubmitForm(FormName).

even tho i leave some requiered fields blank it still navigates to the screen without any validation
