Powerapps Grid Control enable but not affecting app

Hello,

 

I am trying to enable the modern Power Apps grid control for a page within model driven app; all I really want from this feature is the infinite scroll and to say goodbye to pagination.

 

I have added the control to the entity and to the view in question, and enabled the control for web/phone/tablet. I saved the changes, then published the entity again, then published all customizations, then re-published the app from the app designer.

 

Here is the componets/entities/table control being enabled:

Here is the custom control selection for the View "ALL" for the table in question:

And here is what the view in the model app still looks like (notice the pagination at the bottom - no, I did not enable pagination for the PowerApps grid control):

Have I missed a step? I believe that I have followed the documentation.

    Incase anyone else experiences this, I found that you can choose  "Show As" from the ribbon and then select the type of grid.

    Why this does not default to the PowerApps grid control? I believe it's because I'm a system administrator, because when I impersonate any other user the PowerApps grid control is the only option:
