Using Posts on teams as a part of the knowledge base and answer to the user queries based on them when the bot is deployed in teams.

Hi , I would like to know if there is a possibility to include the posts made on teams as a part of the knowledge base that the bot is using to provide generative answers. As this bot will be deployed in teams which is already accessing sharepoint.

Thank you

You might want to consider the following steps to achieve your requirements:

    1. Retrieve the Teams post information using the Graph API. You can find more details on Teams Graph APIs here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/teams-api-overview?view=graph-rest-1.0

    2. Utilize the response from the Graph API as a custom data source for generative answers.

Thank you @Umianta  for your assistance, I would like to if there is any way we can search the teams post in real time and retrieve the relevant post based on the query made by the user.  And then use this knowledge retrieved from the search and use generative AI to formulate an answer in real time. Could you guide with any possible ways to build this.

    Thank you once again

    Hi @Suma_Sai ,

I believe it's feasible. You can create this design by following these steps:

    1. Within Power Automate, initiate a Teams Graph API call to retrieve real-time post data.
    2. Trigger this flow from Copilot Studio.
    3. Use the response in "Generate Answer" as a custom data source to format the response using Gen AI.Umianta_0-1713454954039.png

If my response has addressed your query, kindly mark your post as Solved.

If you found my response helpful or it provided you with a direction to proceed, please give it a Thumbs Up. Your Kudos are appreciated. You can accept multiple posts as solutions.

If you're still encountering any issues or challenges, please don't hesitate to inform me so I can assist you further. I'm here to help.

    Cheers ,

Thanks a lot for providing assistance @Umianta , but unfortunately I am unable to find an Api using which I can search the posts made on teams channels. Could you help me find the documentation for it ?
