Default Data Card Value issue-- Using an or statement

Hello,

       I am trying to fill in the name you selected if it comes from one of the two different sources. I tried the item below but it did not work. Any ideas on how this can work? FYI using SQL as the data source if that makes a difference here.

DentalProviders.Selected.full_name  OR  '[incentive_test].[D_eTime]'.Selected.Employee_Display_name

DentalProviders.Selected.full_name || '[incentive_test].[D_eTime]'.Selected.Employee_Display_name

    So this is in a form!!  Your Default property of the DataCard should be: ThisItem.yourColumnName

    What is it that you are trying to determine in your formula?

    There are two different galleries, that represent two different sql tables. They are introduced to the gallery first and then they move on to the edit form. One gallery has active individuals and the other has new people. So what I would like is regardless of the gallery to use the name. So it can be the name from table 1 or table 2. It is an edit form.

    Well...there is my confusion...if table 1 has one name and table 2 has another name - which one would you want??

    IT can be from either table. For example, the first gallery has already established providers. So if they see their name, they are taken to the edit form and it prefills their name and provider number. Now, if they are new, they are taken to a gallery that has the new/established providers (this is everyone in the company under that department). So, if they click either gallery their info will be filled out to be put in the new table. So it can be the names from either gallery.

    Then your choice is at the gallery...not in the form.

    How are you initiating (from the gallery) the form?  In other words, what is the OnSelect formula in your galleries that give you the record to edit?

    On the select button I have navigate - Navigate('Data Entry Page From Table of Submissions')

    @NitroPepsi

    So what then is the Item property of your form?  How are you passing the record to the form?  Or are you creating a new record with the form and are looking to have the values from the gallery passed to the form?

    BTW, I'm at the end of day here, so I will get back to you tomorrow with your response.

    I just made two forms for this. One for the first gallery and another for the second gallery.  Thank you for your help tho.

    Well, that works too...but if you want to simplify and reduce the duplication of the form...just let me know!
