New Experimental PDF function and nested galleries

I'm playing with the new PDF generator function. One of the limitiations is it can't handle nested galleries.

I would like to produce a report grouped by Observation number. An observation can have a number of associated images. I tried addinng my images to an addeded column and hoped to use this to display the images in a nested gallery. I'm wondering if there's a way round this without using a nested gallery so I can produce a report in the following format:

Observation 1: Observation Name

I have only played with the PDF() function a bit, but how about replacing the parts that would be a separate nested gallery with controls that have LookUps for their values

Also  a little annoying that you cant use the add media control to display images in the print. But can display pen input captures, and images loaded into the app beforehand. Have to assume as they continue to develop the function a lot of this will become available to us

@TheRobRush , cheers for the advice. I was thinking I could create a html template for my report and place inside a container, which I could use for the PDF source, however the deal breaker for me is it doesn't appear to be able to display images hosted in a SharePoint library.

I wanted to display images from a SharePoint doc lib in the PDF but seems images need to be saved to the app. Images uploaded to my app are displaying in the PDF viewer but not those hosted in SharePoint library.

I feel being able to generate a PDF with multiple images, multiple pages and grouped data should be made available.

Check out @RezaDorrani 's video on what he has foudn out about the pdf function so far. I know he has a way to print images exterior to the app via a attachment collection coming from sharepoint. He's put in a lot of time testing the new function out and some of this might help you get to a solution. Video Here

@TheRobRush , cheers, I watched that video but the images he included were from SharePoint list attachments. I don't think it works for images stored in a library.

I managed to create a PDF using nested galleries. I adjust the template size of the Main gallery to only accomodate the needed information or data. Then below that is the nested gallery which I overlapped the height from the main gallery. The template size of the 2nd gallery is countrows * (your line size).
