How to define the default value of a dropdown?

My Dataverse table "Paises":

CodigoCountry
0England
1France
2Italy

The dropdown:

Items: Paises

Default: LookUp(Paises, Codigo = 2)

The formula in the Default property returns the error:

Expected Text Value

Hi @WebPortal can you try this:

    LookUp(Paises, Codigo = 2).Country

    My example:

    Items:

    Default:

    @AndrewR1

    That solves the error.

But it doesn't matter. The Default country is always the same - the first it finds.

That's because the LookUp always looks for the same value Codigo = 2.
Since you use Dataverse, I tried to do the same on my end. Imported the "Pets" entity and then added the dropdown.
Now, I simply had to choose the value for the dropdown in the properties bar

You could use the SortByColumns formula to sort it as you prefer.

Ok @WebPortal  what did you want it to do then as you haven’t specified what your expectations are?
