Hello,

I am trying to use the Prediction Model located in the AI Hub of Power Apps. However when I try to load in data from an excel sheet, the AI does not recognize more than 20 of my rows. I will upload it to create a new dataverse table and it will notify me "(700 rows loaded) 20 Rows Preview Below". Then when I try to create an app or use it in the AI model it only takes 20 rows. Let me know if this is an issue for anyone else.

When you upload an Excel file to create a Dataverse table, the message:

"(700 rows loaded) 20 Rows Preview Below"

is normal — it just means the UI is showing a preview of 20 rows, but all 700 rows are actually imported into Dataverse.

However, if the AI model only uses 20 rows, that’s a different issue. This typically happens due to one of the following:

🔍 Common causes

AI Builder is using the preview sample only
- Sometimes, the AI model uses only the first 20 rows if the data is not properly saved or published in Dataverse.
- Ensure the table is fully created and saved in Dataverse before using it in the AI model.
Excel file not formatted as a proper table
- AI Builder expects structured data. Make sure your Excel file:
  - Has a header row.
  - Is formatted as a table (in Excel: select data → Insert → Table).
  - Has no merged cells or empty column names.
Data not committed to Dataverse
- After uploading, go to Tables > Your Table > Data in Power Apps and confirm that all 700 rows are visible there.
- If not, the import may have failed silently.
AI Builder model preview limitation
- During model setup, AI Builder may initially sample a small number of rows (e.g., 20) for preview.
- But once you proceed to train the model, it should use the full dataset.
