Hi everyone,
I’m new to Copilot Studio and Power Apps and need help with a deployment issue.
I successfully set up a custom connector in Power Apps to connect to a Databricks-managed MCP using OAuth. The connector is added as a tool to my Copilot agent, and the agent requires a connection to be created in the Connection Manager. When I create the connection, it prompts for Databricks sign-in, and once authenticated, the connection works (connection is set to use end-user credentials). The agent answers questions as expected in Copilot Studio test chats.
The problem: When I deploy this solution to SharePoint for others to use, users who don’t have access to Copilot Studio are prompted to create a connection in the Connection Manager. Since they can’t access Studio, they get an error and cannot use the agent at all. I don’t want to use a shared account because we need user credentials to flow through.
I tried sharing the connection instance (user can use) and also shared the custom connector (user can edit), but the agent still prompts them to create a connection.
Question: How can I allow users to use the agent without requiring them to create a connection in Copilot Studio instead pop up the databricks login page directly? Is there a way to do that?
Additional detail: When the connection is configured to use maker-provided credentials, users are able to interact with the agent without issues but with end user credential setting, agent prompts to create connection.
