I am using a SharePoint list as my datasource and want my Choice fields displayed in the Power Apps Text field

For example I have a SharePoint List with the Title "Requirement" and the Choices of: Mandatory, Desirable, Other

I have a basic Power Apps Gallery with Text Fields. I can easily display the plain SharePoint text column in Power Apps with the syntax ThisItem.'Sample-Data' for the SP column named 'Sample-Data'. I cannot see how to get my SP column 'Requirement' into

    Hi @pauln ,

    What is the error message?

If the messages says require text value but found a different type, please try:

    Concat(ThisItem.Requirement, "Value", ",")

Is the Requirement column in SharePoint single or multiple choice?

If single, you should be able to get to it in your gallery with

    ThisItem.Requirement.Value

Thanks for the quick reply. The error is "Expected Text value". I just tried Concat(ThisItem.Requirement, "Value", ",") and it just displays Value. It is not seeing anything for ThisItem.Requirement.

The Requirement Column in my SP list is a Choice field. There are Choices such as Qualification, Mandated, Desirable etc.

    Hi @pauln ,

Based on your screenshot, this Requirement column should allow single selection only. Please edit this column in SP list, turn off allow multiple selection, refresh the connection of this list in PowerApps and use ThisItem.Requirement.Value for Text property of the Label.

Ah! Such a 101 error. Thank you so much I have banged my head on this for a while. Clearly I am still a novice with the Power Apps ... Learning lots!
    Thanks again problem solved.

    Hi @pauln ,

We all learned the product step by step, that is the most interesting experience.

Anyway, next time if you encountered cases that need to use multiple selections choices column and display multiple values in Gallery Label, the formula I gave in previous reply is need, except the double quotes which I mistakenly added.

    Concat(ThisItem.Requirement, Value, ",")

    Best regards,
