Bug - Modern Combo Box doesn't work correctly when "Allow Searching" is turned off

It took me 2 hours to figure out why my modern combo box was not working correctly. I have a conditional "Items" property that depends on another modern combo box. Like a cascading dropdown. But I don't want the keyboard to pop up every time a user taps the combo box, so I turned off "allow searching".
When allow searching is turned off, the combo box no longer uses the conditional formula, it only shows the dropdown items for the user's last selected item on the first combo box. Also, if Allow searching is off, then I change the items property, the combo box will not recognize that anything has changed. So you have to turn on allow searching, then turn it back off...

    Hi @ITHelpDesk ,

Modern controls are still mostly in preview and contain quite a few "bugs" like this as well as at times deficiencies in functionality compared with Classic controls. If you want it all to work presently, you might consider a Classic control - I have not yet turned on Modern controls in any production app.

    Hi @ITHelpDesk ,

Modern controls are partially in general availability, when I say partially there are some which you can use in your production application i.e. modern buttons, radio buttons, check boxes, spinner/loader which will work perfectly fine and MS will support if any bugs are reported.

Now comes the other half of modern controls which are still in Preview (Not supposed to be used in production application) i.e. combo box, text input, drop down etc.

Modern controls will change how we build the UI in power apps but that still in future until MS relaese each and every control in General availability.
