I have an issue with creating a duplicate detection rule on my dataverse table. When I create the rule and chose my table as the base record (and matching record the same table) I don't see all the columns when I want to chose what it should check, just a few of my created columns and then a bunch of system created columns? Anyone know what might be the issue here? Thanks for your answers.
Hi @Anonymous,
The data type of the column needs to be the same for the "Base Record Type" and "Matching Record Type", otherwise they won't show. Also, if you just added new columns, ensure you publish and reload the duplication detection rule page.Hope this helps!
I checked the data type of the column missing and it is of type: "multiple line of text", which does not seem to be supported for duplicate detection rules.
Yup, that's right, I'll also double checked in my env and have the same behavior.Feel free to submit that idea/feature request here and I'll vote 🙂 https://ideas.powerapps.com/d365community/forum/f1458c72-ae29-ed11-9db2-000d3a8c451e
