Opening app directly from Power BI

Hi ,

Please help me to find out if I can embedd a powerapps App into Powerbi.
I dont need data integration or anything. I just want my app to be opened from powerbi automatically when report is launched.

It would act as a homepage for several reports and potentially allows to add favorit reports next to their main reports.

Could anyone please help me, how could I make my already existing app start from PowerBi ?

    Hi,

Currently, the functionality you are looking for is not available in Power BI.
The concept of using the PowerApps visual in Power BI is to pass context-aware data to a canvas app, which updates in real time as you make changes to your report.
As an alternative, I recommend considering the development of an app within Power BI to achieve your goals.

    Hello AL-21100959-0,

This is still the best way to do it:

In PowerBI you can select an existing Power Apps. You might have to create/maintain a dummy connection still but that the best way to go with this.

If in case your app is not showing, just follow Power Apps and create a blank one then save. This is a quick way to overwrite it.

    pls try the following:

Open your Power BI report in Power BI Desktop or Power BI Service (web version).
In Power BI Desktop, go to the Visualizations pane, and select the Power Apps visual (it looks like a blue icon with a Power Apps logo).
With the Power Apps visual selected, Power BI will prompt you to choose an existing app or create a new one.
Go to Power Apps Studio, open your app, then go to Settings → General and copy the App ID.
Once embedded, save and publish your Power BI report to the Power BI Service.
