Multi-agent systems based on Copilot Studio?

Hi there

Is it possible / does it make sense to create multi-agent systems (e.g., the famous blog creator with 4 agents: orchestrator + researcher + writer + editor) purely based on Copilot Studio? It should include dynamic orchestration of the co-working agents like Group Chat in AutoGen.

I think multi-agent is the way to go and hence makers would need a no-code solution for it… but I could not find any info on how to best approach this with Copilot Studio.

Thx!

    Hello,

it's to early for this, I guess. We have Copilot Studio event triggers, but it's still a preview feature. Eventually it'll take some time before we could implement solutions like that. It's good to monitor it for updates.

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

    Thanks, @Artur Stepniak.

Now that I think about it… don‘t we already have this in place kind of? At least the multi agent setup with a central orchestrator.

If we want to have a system with three child agents and one central orchestrator agent, we could create the three agents with copilot studio classic mode and the orchestrator with copilot studio generative/preview mode. The orchestrator agents has the generative planning / orchestration capability and can call the three other agents according to the system prompt we give it. I have never tried it but I guess it should work to add actions to the orchestrator agent with http connectors to connect and call the child agent and get back the result of their work.

But I have never seen anybody doing this. Do you think this should work? Or does this have too many limitations and its not worth trying it.

Alternatively, I could try calling my three copilot studio agents from a Chat Group in AutoGen… but I would prefer to stay in the no code area.

    Hi ,

What we are talking is basically Agent to Agent communication. The Ability for one agent to call another agent and get the response and all works autonomously too.

Recently i attended a conference in Microsoft. This Agent to agent communication is the next big thing which Microsoft is working on now.

This feature will be out definitely in next few months.

You can remember this Post and confirm once available  :-)

    Thanks.
