Set Default value of people picker to value in list

Hello,

I have a simple PowerApps form where the end user will choose a ticket owner from a people picker using the Microsoft365 Users connector before submitting the ticket for processing.

Another user would access this ticket from a separate app with a gallery where they can work the ticket.

On the 2nd app the ticket owner field is also a people picker where they are able to reassign if need be but I would like the default of the people picker to be the value the submitter chose when they entered the ticket which is the value in the SP list,

I have found how to set the default to the current user but not pull from the current list value.

Any ideas on how to do this?

    Assuming the Combo Box is in a Form, you just need to refer to the field name in the Default (ThisItem.PersonFieldName)

    If you are using Form inside Power App you can set default/DefaultItems property of control by Parent.Default.

    Hello CA1105 - Yes this is in an Edit Form fed from a gallery in PowerApps. I tried the Parent.Default in the Default Items Property and it does not seem to like it.

    Hello WarrenBlz

    Thank you for your suggestion but that also did not work.

    OK - assuming 'Ticket Owner' is a Person field, what is the Items of the Combo Box ? If you are using the Office365Users.SearchUser structure, then the DefaultSelectedItems on a single select Combo Box will be
    {
       Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & Lower(ThisItem.'Ticket Owner'.Email),
       Department: "",
       DisplayName: ThisItem.'Ticket Owner'.DisplayName,
       Mail: ThisItem.'Ticket Owner'.Email,
       JobTitle: "",
       Picture: ""
    }
    You will also need to change the Update of the Data Card to
    {
       Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & Lower(ComboBoxName.Selected.Mail),
       Department: "",
       DisplayName: ComboBoxName.Selected.DisplayName,
       Email: ComboBoxName.Selected.Mail,
       JobTitle: "",
       Picture: ""
    }
