Hi there,
I am trying to create a new bot and would like to test out the new feature however the text field won't let me enter anything as it is greyed out.
Hi @nicklim
This is most likely because your environment isn't located in the United States region.
For now, only environments in the United States region and bots created in the English language have the Generative Answers feature.

As a workaround, you can setup a new Power Platform environment with a Dataverse database in the United States region and create the PVA bot there.

Hi @HenryJammes ,
When the new features are gonna be rolled out in Europe?
Cheers,
Fernando
Hi @fernandosilva,
We don't have a date we can communicate yet but this is something the PVA team is working on.
Hi Henry, I tried your workaround solution and have made a US region environment (purchased 1GB capacity as was needed.) I am getting an error "this operation is subject to capacity constraints" I assume this means I need to purchase a Dataverse Database Capacity bundle of some sort.
This is what I purchased in order to be able to create a new environment:
There are two other options, do I need to purchase these as well?
What am I missing here? One possible idea, does the region need to be created just as US rather than US (preview) in order to be selectable in power virtual agents? My default location is Canada, and when I tried deleting the environment and re-creating in US, I am cautioned that I cannot install Dynamics 365 on the default region of your organization. I'm not sure which of these is the correct path for your stated work around.
Answering my own query here for other users. You do not need to purchase more than the required 1 GB database capacity, and when selecting the region do not select US (Preview), but US. A bit misleading given that many might be setting up in the US region specifically to try the (preview) functionality. But after setting up and letting it be overnight, I am now able to set up boost conversation enabled chatbots. Cheers.
