Dynamic URL/hyperlink in the email template is not working

Hello,

I have a custom entity where I am storing dynamically the record URL in a custom field upon record creation.

I wanted to use this custom field as a dynamic hyperlink in the email template.

Basically, I have a custom workflow that triggers and send the email using this template. As a result, the URL is not showing properly specifically the display text as it is always broken.

I already check the below posted previously with no hope:

What am I doing wrong in the template and what will be the corrected URL?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What is the column type you are storing the link in?

Is it working properly from the UI?

Hello @Mira_Ghaly ,

The custom field is of type "Text" and it is working properly if I just copy/paste the URL on the browser:

The problem not from the URL it is from the display text in the email template when using the hyperlink.

I am simply passing the below parameter:
{!Applicant Interview:URL;}

When sending the email, it is not showing the URL that should be populated it is always broken:

If you noticed above the URL is showing properly under "Interview URL" without using insert hyperlink from the email template.

Could you please advise what might be the issue?

My guess is because it is concatenating the https with the https of your URL but will replicate now at my end and see.

Hello @Mira_Ghaly ,

I replicated the same as you did and I got the below outcome:

I don't know why it is not showing the display test only as it is always showing the full URL in the email.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

Hello,

you must take care that the URL isn't detected like an hyperlink (underlined) in the href, also the dynamic text must be detected (blue highlight).

Hi @Julien2 Did you ever resolve this?
My template looks like this, View in Dynamics: <a href="{!Opportunity:Record URL;}">Dynamics Opportunity Record</a>
The email shows blue text underlined like it wants to open a link, but there is no link there

I'm also trying to build a link using dynamic text which looks like this in the template
<a href="https://abc123.com/Project/Summary.aspx?j={!Opportunity:Internal Code 2;}">Link to Project</a>
The email shows just <a href=
