Modern controls were launched quite a while ago, but we've not seen much development since then. Most of the controls are still in a preview state.
It seems that all the effort has been diverted into implementing other "cool, promising" features with Copilot, leaving the "old, promising" ones abandoned.
Modern controls are the perfect example of this strategy. Frankly, it disappoints me (and my colleagues) and makes me think that many other interesting things being launched these days will remain as cool, half-implemented features forever.
As I write this post, I look at the nice editor this forum has, but in Power Apps, we're stuck with a "legacy" rich editor.
So, my question is: how long should we wait to see real improvements in modern controls?
