"Default envionment over included capacity"

Hello,
I recently did a little digging in the Power Platform admin center for my tenant and came across the capacity page.

In the summary page everything is in the green, nothing is over the capacity, but when going deeper under the default enviornment, it says we've exceeded the "included capacity".

I find the wording a little strange. Is the default enviornment only limited to 3GBs and that's it, or is the 3GB the default given to a tenant and ours happen to be much larger due to a variety of factors?
Also we have like 95% of our PowerApps and Dataverse tables on the default enviornment, not sure if that is the correct way of doing things.

Was just wondering if we should be worried about this notification text : )
I'd appreciate any replies to put my mind at ease.

    Hi @ValiantKillmore,

Nothing to be specifically concerned about in storage. The default environment comes with 3 GB of storage for "free" that doesn't count toward your tenant storage. Anything beyond that consumes your storage. So in your case, you have 10.9 GB of capacity, and your default environment is currently using 3.52 GB. The 0.52 GB counts toward the 10.9 GB you have.

Now, your second comment about 95% of your Dataverse tables/data residing in the default environment is where I would be concerned. The problem with the default environment is that you cannot do a backup/restore. If you experience data loss/corruption, it would be very difficult to recover compared to other environment types where you can perform a restore from backup.

In general, we avoid using the default environment altogether. But if you decide you want to use it, avoid storing Dataverse data in there. Only store Canvas Apps and Flows that aren't using Dataverse in the default.

Thank you for your detailed explanation!
Guess I'll start working on moving the dataverse tables to different environments, because I've never even considered the backup aspect of it all.
    Thank you again, Chris...

Can you provide any documentation to support what you are saying about the overage?  It would be useful to include in our governance documentation.
