Hi @Msft
"Behavior formulas for components" is one of the crucial feature to complete the component-library (CanvasApp). It has been more than 2 years since it was released as experimental feature https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/enhanced-component-properties/
We're working on a CanvasApp for decision makers in a large organisation. This feature has significant impact on how the CanvasApp is developed.
I am wondering when it might become "preview" feature.
Thank you.
Avi
Hi Avi,
I'm glad you asked because we have a major update coming in the next few weeks, and we want to move it to preview as soon as possible after that, barring any feedback and issues we receive.
We will also be adding output behaviors as part of this update, and making scoping of variables more clear (today it's a bit of trial and error to figure out what does or doesn't work).
Stay tuned. We were hoping to have it out by now but ran into some issues, but hopefully in the coming weeks you should see an announcement.
Hi, is there any update on the timing for Enhanced component properties to move to "Preview" status? From the post above, it sounded like this might be out by now but it still shows up as an experimental feature for me. I am beginning to develop an app that depends on this and would like to know if it will make it to preview soon. Thanks!Evan
The update mentioned here has gone out as you probably know. We are working on getting data flow working so we can re-enable access to variables and collections from within functions. I'm waiting for a realistic timeline from the team. That will be the last thing we do before preview.
