Using CDS with Outlook and MS Teams?

Can someone confirm this?

Just want to make sure I am understanding correctly.

1. Basically, if any multi factor method of signing in for a user (such as receiving a text) is being used, I will be unable to utilize the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook in the desktop version of outlook?

2. Does this mean I will also be unable to sync with Microsoft Teams?

3. If I understand correctly, then it should at the very least work for outlook on the web? If that is correct then there is no dynamics 365 app to install and I need some guidance.

I already have the Model driven app (common data service) working to be able to send emails when i use the activity feed within the model-driven app of an account, however, sections 1-3 above are all not working for me. For teams integration, I did also go into the system settings of the CDS enviroment and selected the tab preview and clicked Microsoft Teams Integration Preview to yes

I am also getting the following error:

Error: Sorry, the environment you selected is not up-to-date or is not supported. Please select another environment.

NOTE: I have an E3 license

Does anyone have solutions?

    Hi @OverwatchMedia,

MFA is supported for Dynamics 365 App for Outlook only when both Dynamics 365 and Exchange Online are configured. It will work on all desktop client, mobile, or web outlook

    More info below.

The Teams Integration for Dynamics 365 does not support a standalone Model Driven App. Only the Dynamics 365 Model Driven Apps are supported at this time. It will be coming sometime in the future (it was announced back in May I believe).
