PowerBIIntegration not delivering all the data in a record

Hi, I have a Power App embedded in a Power BI Report, which I'm doing to enable some pre-filtering of the data that is hitting Power Apps. All working fine in general but I have recently added a field in the Power BI Power App element so that it can be included in the PowerBIIntegration data source. I know there is data in this field as I can create a table with it in PowerBI....but when I access the field in PowerApps it is blank.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Paul

    Hi @psadd2 ,

    Please try below steps:

1\ Publish the dashboard to the PowerBI service with the new fields.

2\ Click the 3 dots in the top corner of the PowerApp and click edit.

3\ This will take you to the browser/development space for the app.

    4\ New/updated/renamed fields are now included/reflected.

    Best regards,

    Hi Jeffer,

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately this is not a solution to the issue. I've built a few embedded apps in my time and I understand the process to add/edit the app from within the report. The current app is quite a complex one and the fields I'm adding do appear in the application....but the data that should be in them doesn't...strange I know. So I can use these field in the report and populate a simple table perfectly...but add them to the app for PowerBI integration to use an it delivers blank fields.
    Any other suggestions gratefully accepted.

    Thanks again.

    Paul

    Hi @psadd2 ,

Perhaps you can have a try and use ShowColumns function to retrieve all the fields you need from Power BI data.

Yep...already tried that....still blank. I can't work this one out.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Any more thoughts on this issue? I've found previous posts on the same issue dating back to 2019 and no solution then either. Must be something MS has seen and is working on surely.

    Thanks

Unfortunately no solutions coming forward on this one except I seem to have bottomed out the issue.

I removed the offending field from the PowerApps element in PowerBi and then added them again. I also, for no other reason than trying stuff, re-ordered the fields in the PowerBI PowerApp element...and it seems to have worked. I now have the data for all fields. I have no idea why/how this fixed the issue but it did.

v-jefferni response works. It makes no sense, but works. Thanks for that!
