Hi,
I want to count empty and non-empty columns /empty=0; not empty=1/, add these values in the last column. The return value of the formula column 'Formula is 'text /nothing else can be selected/, how can I do it so that I can sum up the columns? Thanks in advance !
You want to test every exiting column in your table to validate if is empty or not and get as the result a count of empty or filled fields.Formula is not for that. it will more easier to you to apply a plugin during the create or update of the record to make this validations. In the plugin you can retrieve metadata and data to count that.If my answer helped you, please give me a Kudo (👍). If solve your question please mark as solution. This is help the community.
Thx. Plugin pl. power atomate , or .... ?
both will work but not a formula column. plugin can do sync processing, power automate will only do async.
You need to understand you requirements. If you data is important and have a lot updates in the day I would recommend to use the plugins, to do sync job. But if this updates could be done by scheduled job a Power automated will be great.
Thx., example? .. plugin name, technic... /first try in dataverese/.
ok. What do we mean by plugin in our case... where can you get it, what is the method?
You can learn the core of Dataverse from youtube, plugin is a .NET assembly which runs inside dataverse.

:(((( Are we saying that under the dataverse we can't evaluate the column values and create sums accordingly?
@Karvalics you want to get all columns in a row and validate. For that you need to use the metadata, and the metadata is not allowed to work yet in the Formula.
I oracle programer... i don't understand .net, is there no way to convert the value of the Formula column into a numeric value, or into another column?
