Hi Experts,

I am trying to set the duplication detection rule but I am not able to see the specific entity on which I want to set the rule.

Could you please help me in understanding a possible cause of not able to see the entity.

Thanks,

Amit

    See https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/206480/detect-duplicate-records-in-custom-entity/538651

    you must first go to the entity configuration and enable the entity for duplicate detection and then you can publish your duplicate detection rules

    Hi @Anonymous,

    Here are the actual steps to enable Duplicate Detection on an entity:

    1. In make.powerapps.com, navigate to Data, Entities and select the entity you wish to enable Duplicate Detection
    2. Click on "Settings" on the top menu
    3. Expand "More settings", expand "Create and update settings"
    4. Check Duplicate detection and make sure you save and publish. You should then see that entity in the duplicate detection rules

    Also note, you can't deploy Duplicate Detection rules with CDS solutions. You'll have to recreate them in the target environment(s) or you can use this tool from the XrmToolBox: https://www.xrmtoolbox.com/plugins/Vitalogy.XTB.DuplicateRulesMover/

    Hope this helps!

    @EricRegnier , thanks for this tip. I was scratching my head why the Account table was not selectable in the Duplicate Detection Rule 'Base Record Type'. This is the answer!👍
    Since the renaming of 'Entities' it is a little bit different path to go.
    Make.powerautomate.com > Data > Tables or directly make.powerapps.com > Tables.

    Select the table and in the ribbon click on Properties. In the Properties expand the 'Advanced options'. And you will see;
