Hi Folks!!

Weird...v very weird..some time Power App sucks

I have one Power BI report and have integrated Power App into it and worked for one entire day on Power App.

At the end of day, i have closed POWER BI Report as well as Power APP.

Next morning, i have opened the Power APP at App studio (https://eu.create.powerapps.com/studio/) and wondering, no data is visible to me on Power App at App studio (https://eu.create.powerapps.com/studio/) however in Power BI report i can see the data in same embedded Power APP.

Could anyone let me know how can i see the data again in Power App at App Studio (https://eu.create.powerapps.com/studio/) as i have to implement logic based on data and could not able to do so.

Please suggest!!

Hi @amsrivas

When working with Power Apps visuals in Power BI - always edit the App via the Power BI report.

If you directly go to Power Apps and edit the App - you will not gte any data as the App is not in context of Power BI.

Hi @RezaDorrani ,
Thanks for your reply.

I already tried both way
1. Directly opened the app from studio.
2. Go to Power BI report, selected Power App Visual, clicked on Edit and power app studio opened.

However, in both cases there was no data shown by Power App, am I did any mistake. Please suggest

Go to Power BI report - in View mode of report do you see data in the App?

Then edit the Power BI report, then select the Power Apps custom visual and edit the App from the visual option.

Hi @RezaDorrani ,
I have opened the Report in Power BI desktop and when it got opened, I can see data in Power App underaunder powerwpower Bi desktoprdesktop however when I clicked on Edit of Power App visual , power app studio opens app but with no data.

Hi @amsrivas

In that case it would either be a bug - get your App session id and report it to MSFT.

One other attempt - Try performing the same with browser in incognito mode.

Open broweser - go to Power BI report - edit app - edit visual for Power Apps - then check if data loads in Power Apps

In Power Apps, if you go to formula bar and select PowerBIIntegration.Data - check if intellisense shows any data.

Hi @RezaDorrani

For Power BI desktop, still Power App is not showing data however it works with Power BI Service but with Microsoft Edge browser even in normal mode.
