How to Get User-Level Analytics Without Using Purview or Application Insights?

Hi,

We’re looking to track user-level analytics in Power Apps to build detailed reports. However, we don’t have access to Microsoft Purview or Application Insights.

Is there any alternative method to achieve this? Ideally, we’d like to collect information such as user interactions, such as when the app launched etc.

Any suggestions or best practices for implementing this would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

    Hello,

the only option which I potentially see is to use custom logging, like a Power Automate flow connected to SP list which logs when the app is launched, what button was clicked, what screen was opened. It'll clutter the app a bit though. Here you can see what data about host you have:

In App variable you can also check what screen is active.

Still I wouldn't recommend this approach, unless there really isn't any way to create app insights.

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

    Best regards,
