Hi, I'm sure this has been covered somewhere in the posts but I can't quite find the relevant chat.I have a SharePoint List as a data source for PowerApps. That list contains a couple of Person fields taking names from AD. All fine in SharePoint. However I want to display the contents of one of these Person fields in a label in my PowerApp...it doesn't need to be 'patched' back to the list it's not for editing. I know I need to use the Office365 Connector but everything I try will not let me specify the content from the specific SharePoint List field...called 'Sponsor'.Any ideas?
Thanks
Text property of Label to display name:
Sponsor.PersonColumnName.DisplayName
Text property of Label to display Email:
Sponsor.PersonColumnName.Mail
and so on
You need to specify the row in some way. Either ThisItem inside a form or Gallery, or Gallery.SelectedItem, or use a Lookup() based on some value. Then just access the DisplayName property.
ThisItem.Sponsor.DisplayName # or Galleryname.Selected.Sponsor.DisplayName # or Lookup(Listname, condition to identify a record, Sponsor).DisplayName
Thanks I will give this a try
Thanks....the last option looks favourite....I was nearly there earlier but didn't have the .DisplayName
