Hello!

That's my first post in this community. I'm so glad to join in this fantastic community!

I'm developing a Power Apps business aplication and i have many questions about Sharepoint conections.

I have two Sharepoint list: A store database with all information about them (route, name, centre, contact, address...) and a selling management databases (products in this store, product families...) I want to get that, when you pick a store in a gallery linked to the first list (store database) i would can connect my selection with other form depending on the second list (product list). The achievement is to do a storage check processes, but i dont get to do both Sharepoint list dependents. Do i need some type of dataverse option to connect this list? Can i link both list only with internal code?

I dont know if i have explained correctly, i hope so.

Thank you so much!

This certainly can be achieved with Sharepoint, however, SP is really not a relational database. If you plan on going beyond what you outline above you will want to use Dataverse. You can build this in Teams if the limitations of that are acceptable. For that to work everyone who needs the to use the app will have to be in that team. There are also some limitations on the size of the database.

If you use SP you will need to manage all the relationships manually. There will also be many headaches if you decide you want to move the lists to another site collection. There are also the privacy concerns inherent with SP lists in PowerApps.

I would encourage you to do a little homework on these topics before diving into what will end up being a complicated app

    Thank you so much Brian!

Unfortunately, my company hasn't Dataverse account linked for users 😞

That's the reason because i'm asking other measure to link these type of connections.

By the way, i have been reading that you can manage data relationships thorough Dataverse section > Table > Add relationships, an option inside the Power Apps enviroment. Is that other way to manage these connections easier ??

    Thank you again!!

Are you using 365? If so you can use the Teams version of Dataverse.

That is the way to add relationships

    I understand.

Yes! Im using Office 365 for business but i think that Dataverse is closed by specific users. I will talk with my company's refference but i wanted to know that i need the application for managing these connections.

    A lot of thanks again!!
