Office 365 E3 License No Longer Covers PVA Deployed in Teams

Hi,

I have an Office 365 E3 license, which prior to the shift of PVA into Copilot, covered the creation and deployment of PVA chatbots in Teams, at no extra cost.

I created and deployed my PVA chatbot in Teams a few months ago, but noticed that since the announcement in mid-November that PVA was being shifted into Copilot, that I'm no longer able to edit any of my topics, which is extremely frustrating.

I did some digging, and it look like the Microsoft Copilot Studio for Teams (which has taken over Power Virtual Agent for Teams), now requires a Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license. In addition to the Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license, it seems that you will also need to purchase a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license, which costs USD30.00 per month.

So basically, in order for me to edit my topics, I now need to purchase a Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license and to buy a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.

If anything I've said is wrong, I beg you to please let me know, because the statement made when PVA transitioned to Copilot assured me that nothing would be interrupted, but now I have a mess to deal with.

Some of the current materials on PVA is confusing, for example, the page below which shows the features available with the Office 365 E3 license shows that PVA is included. The next licensing image shows that PVA for Teams is included with the Office 365 E3 license.

Microsoft 365 Copilot and regular Copilot Studio are not the same thing as Copilot Studio for Teams. the bots you created using the Power Virtual Agents for Teams client can still be created and edited the same way they were before. The new unified editor experience isn't available for Copilot Studio in Teams but everything will still work the way it used to with some new labels. Switching to the new studio experience will take you to the regular client. At that point you would need additional licensing. But editing in the old client is still available. Here's a screenshot of the Copilot Studio (previously Power Virtual Agents for Teams).

Thanks for your prompt response @Pstork1 !

The only issue for me is that when I head into PVA Teams (now Copilot Studio), it tells me that my trial for Copilot has expired, and it won't let me see or edit any of my topics, as below:
This morning I clicked 'Extend trial' and it now allows me to see and edit my topics. The problem for me is that when Microsoft stops offering me extensions on the free trial, I basically won't be able to see or edit my bot ever again.

I don't know why it's on a trial, when PVA for Teams is included in my Office 365 E3 license, but I have Microsoft Copilot Studio Viral Trial under my subscriptions - would you know how to terminate the free trial so I can just use it as per usual as per my Office 365 E3 license?

I would open a support ticket with Microsoft on that. The Copilot trial should have no impact on the Copilot Studio in Teams. Since your trial has expired you shouldn't need to do anything with it at all unless you want to work in regular CoPilot studio.
