Hi Everyone!Hoping to get some help in understanding why I am getting a particular error message when trying to save a new component library.
Below is the error I am getting:
{"error":{"code":"Invalid App ComponentName","message":"The AppComponent Name Component1 Template must be a non-null guid."}}
I cannot locate where Component1 Template is, and indeed how to understand what guid is null value?
Can anyone shed some light on how I can work around this error?
Thanks!
Hello! Thank you for posting the question. I believe that this was a regression introduced starting PowerApps authoring version 3.24052.29. It should have been resolved in authoring version 3.24054.17 and above. Please let us know if you continue to experience the same issue with authoring version 3.24054.17 and above. Thank you!
Hi, I am also facing the same issue when I try to save/publish the app. How do I fix this? Can you suggest me.
As you suggested I check the Authorized Version, but still the same error.
I followed @clin 's suggestions and it worked for me. Here are the detailed steps:
Hi @clin @sai_R_T @Nadia_ali
I've followed your advice, my current version is 3.24052.29, but when I choose any newer version, I am unable to reload and apply version as I still get the same error, and thats on a brand new library with zero new content.
Any ideas?
Thanks
You should choose "Don't Save" or save it to your computer. This will allow the reload and version change to be applied.
It would be better to open the component libraries in a new tab and create a new library. Then, apply the version change to this newly created library with "Don't Save" chosen. Optionally, try to save this newly created library. Afterward, go to the tab where you have the library that cannot be saved. Right-click on the parent component, choose "Copy Code", and then return to your newly created library. Right-click on the component and select "Paste Code".
@clin @Nadia_ali, I tried all the possible ways that you suggested, even tried changing to older version also but no luck, same error.
Even if we click on Save to Computer, the error is repeating and it neither applying the changed version nor saving the settings.
No luck @HendosMark, even I am facing the same 😓
