I have a mobile application in which the user makes changes to the records of the tables, the tables contain more than 300,000 records. At first I use UpdateIf, then I found a delegation problem, and as a solution I activated the option "Enable delegation for UpdateIf" from the application settings and it worked.
My question is, will this solution not cause me problems afterwards? and what is the best option is to use UpdateIf or Patch.
UpdateIf and patch scan the tables differently. If its a single record you are doing, using Patch, pointing at the key or secondary key is much better.
Are you patching a single record or many?
So I cannot say you will have issues, however, performance wise depending on exactly what your updating and how many will.
