I've totally broken a form, and I don't know how

Hello all

I have broken a form somehow. It uses SharePoint as its datasource. All connection between my list and the app seems to have stopped.

Flow checker only suggest accessibility issues

Earlier, when I updated the app, the SharePoint would follow. Now when I submit a form, the data is being saved somewhere, as the app can still see it, but I cannot see it on the SharePoint list.

I can close the app and restart and these entries will be there

I created an entry using grid view on the list. It was not visible on the app. Interestingly the ID which I would expect to be either 4 (There were 3 visible entries), or 9 (8 entries on app) instead was 100000003

Any help, or wild guesses, will be appreciated

Conn

Trying this older fix gives an interesting error Solved: Re: View Form not updating after edit - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

     Lookup(MachineSetup, ID=Gallery.Selected.ID)

Incompatible types for comparison. These types can't be compared: Error, Error

Surely ID should not give me an error

    Hi @ConnM,

Do you mean the system column ID display a number totally different with the normal one?

Could you please add a new Edit Form and configure it as a completed form, submit item and check if it works as expected?

If the new added Edit Form performs same issue, I strongly suggest you open a ticket to contact our support team:

    Thanks @v-qiaqi-msft

I have created a new gallery on Screen2, changed Items to my data source. I've added an icon with OnSelect NewForm(Form2). An edit form with items being Gallery2.selected, and a submit button with OnSelect being SubmitForm(Form2)

When I submit the new entry appears in the gallery, but it does not appear in my Sharepoint list

I may just create a new list

    Thank You

Go to you SP list and referesh it, check if the new item appears.

Sometimes there is a delay on displaying in SP list and Power Apps updates, which need manually refreshing.

Further, I have mentioned that if the ID column is the system column existing in the SP list by default, it worths opening a ticket to ivestigate it deeply.

    @v-qiaqi-msft

Refreshed, and it is the same result

    ConnM_0-1686727599363.png

I will try with a new list first, as that could sort it. Failing that, I will escalate

    Thanks for your help

    Conn

    Hi @ConnM,

    Feel free to update here.

Have you tried to use a SharePoint form to add new?

Since you have mentioend that you created an entry using grid view on the list and it was not visible on the app, do you operate it as below:

    @v-qiaqi-msft

Sharepoint Form creates an entry. It still has a very odd ID

This entry is not visible from the PowerApp

    Conn

    **Edit

Exporting Excel has all information from the App

Exported CSV has information entered into Sharepoint directly, and the first three entries from App that are visible in Sharepoint

A new list seems to have fixed it. The first two entries came from the App, while the third was produced in grid view.
