I would like to use the offline capability. (I understand this works for mobiles)

However the Device is a Surface Tablet Pro - would the offline capability work for this device?

If you are using the Windows 10 Power Apps client, then Offline capabilities should be available for a Surface Pro device just like they are on the Mobile clients.  I haven't completely tested it on my Surface, but the connection object definitely will pick up online vs. offline when using the client.

Yes, the offline capacity is not available for the Surface window client.

There are three necessary functions for offline apps: Connection, SaveData, and LoadData. However, SaveData and LoadData functions can only be run in Power Apps Mobile on an iPhone or Android device.

So we are saying that the windows offline power app application will not work?

I ran a test, and it seemed to work (not the browser) but the power app application which I downloaded from the windows store onto my device.

I disagree.  They won't work in the browser on a Surface, but I just ran a test on my Surface 7 using the Windows 10 PowerApps client and SaveData() and LoadData() work just fine on my Surface.  As long as you are using the actual client it should work.  It just won't work in a browser based session.

Agreed! I also ran the test and it works!

Sorry, that could be my problem. I'll check again.

We have a PowerApp that uses offline mode and were hoping to use it on a Surface Pro. The best device to run PowerApps right?
However when we come to open the WIndows 10 PowerApps app we get an error message because our Conditional Access Policies wont let us open the app.
I am told this is because the Windows PowerApp has been deprecated and is no longer supported/updated. Which means that we can't use offline PowerApps on a Surface Pro.
Surely this can't be right can it??

Aside from buying a Samsung Galaxy tab is there a way around this please?

The Power Apps desktop studio was deprecated and is no longer available.  But the Power Apps application is still available in the Microsoft Store.  The difference is that if you click on the edit link it will open the Power app in the browser.  But you can still use it to run Power apps in a Windows client.  That is what I tested offline capabilities with on my Surface Pro 7.  You need to talk to your admins about your conditional access policies.  The windows client isn't the issue.  #1 in the link you provided is probably your issue.  The windows client is still available and supported, but there is a known issue with AAD conditional access.

Thanks for the reply. I am in a real catch 22 . Security won't relax the conditional access policies because it introduces greater risk.
Android and IOS apps work fine, so it's clear that the Windows client hasn't been updated.
It is forcing us to use Android devices rather than multi function Surface Pro's.
Can you advise when Microsoft will fix this issue please?

Not sure what you mean when you say the Windows client hasn't been updated.

But other than that I don't have any inside information on when Microsoft may do something that will fix your problem.  As I said the issue is with how your security group has enforced conditional access policies.  Not with the Microsoft client. If they won't relax the policy that is causing the issue I don't think anything MS does will change that.  Your only other option is to raise the issue with Microsoft directly by opening a support ticket.
