How to set up a date/time entity which suggests only dates until today.

Hi! This forum has really been helpful for a complete newbie on PVA. I have built a bot which queries an API to get a list of documents. The first question from the bot is to ask which date the document was published. If the reply is "Thursday", the reply from the bot (using the date and time standard entity here) is to choose from two dates, one last Thursday and one for the coming Thursday. In my use-case, a future date is impossible, so I would like the bot to automatically return last Thursday.

I cannot find a way of configuring this in PVA. Any help appreciated!

This is how the native bot slot works, you could work around this using a custom entity and defining quick replies possibly, but it will behave this way when using the prebuilt system entities.

Hi @Gakku, @peterswimm,

You can actually get to that result by customizing the question behavior, by adding entity validation.
You can force the date to be in the past by making sure it's less than the Now() Power Fx formula.

Got it! Thanks. I was using the "classic" bot so this option was not available. I am switching over to the new version so I can use this and other updates.
