Hi Team,
Does anyone know how to display a date column in a format such as Text (date_column, "dd mm yy"). I can do this in a Gallery, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this in a table?

Kind Regards, Craig
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

You would want to do the Formatting in the Text property of the Table. Here is my table, with a Date Field

Click the Row in my table not the table. And type
    Text (ThisItem.OnlyDate, "dd mm yy")
    And bingo

    Hi FLMike,
Thanks for your reply. Are you referring to the Data Table control rather than the new Table control?

As you can see from the picture below, each column on a Table control does not have a Text property; that is the issue. I tried experimenting with changing the FieldName property to include the Text function, but as you can see in the table preview displayed the Arrive column is still displayed with date and time.

    Thanks, Craig

    Hi All,
The previous answers, whilst very welcome, only provide answers that apply to Gallery or Data Tables control but not for the modern Table control which is the issue that I posted about.

I have finally discovered a solution by using ADDCOLUMNS to the Table that is the data source for the table control. I use this function in the Items property of the table control as shown below.

After adding this code snippet, the columns Arrive Formatted and Depart formatted are available for selection and display in the modern table control.

    Cheers, Craig

In a modern table conrol you have a limited option to set the date formats as well:

    Thanks Roleofm,
As you can see, I don't seem to have the same date time options available in the properties dialog?

    @Roleofm,

I've found the option - it is at a table level rather than a field level.

    Thanks, Craig
